Made to be used, not just admired.

Every frame below is from a real Rubix production — interiors, people, events, detail and motion captured on the same shoot days and delivered as one library.

Coco Coworking

A destination production for a flex-workspace brand: every room type, a member event, member interviews, aerial and a website loop, captured across the same set of shoot days.

The shot list was built from where the content would be used — the website, paid and organic social, and the sales team’s tour follow-up — so each setup produced stills, horizontal video and vertical cuts together.

03One shoot. More content.

One shoot shouldn’t create one piece of content.

Build a content library, not just a camera roll.

Rubix plans each production around the marketing it has to feed — website, paid media, social, sales collateral and the campaigns you haven’t briefed yet. Framing, formats and coverage are decided up front, so the same setups produce all of this:

  • 01Hero photography
  • 02Website images
  • 03Horizontal video
  • 04Vertical video

05Beyond the standard look

Different stories deserve different visual languages.

Not every project should look like it came from the same camera preset. Rubix keeps a collection of modern, vintage, anamorphic, fisheye and specialty optics — for anything from clinically clean commercial imagery to deliberately imperfect, cinematic character.

  • Anamorphic

Oval bokeh, horizontal flare, a frame wider than life.

    SIRUI Saturn 35 / 50 / 75mm full-frame anamorphic, plus SIRUI adapters

  • Vintage

Softer contrast and character modern glass is engineered out of.

Helios 44M and manual vintage optics

  • Selective Focus

A plane of focus placed by hand — swirl, glow, deliberate blur.

    Lensbaby Edge 80, Sweet 22, Sol 45, Burnside 35, Velvet 56

  • Fisheye

Bent perspective for energy, scale and play.

    TTArtisan 11mm fisheye

  • Ultra-Wide

Straight lines in tight rooms, architecture and interiors.

Laowa and NiSi ultra-wides, Lumix 14–28mm

  • f/0.95

A subject lifted clean off almost nothing.

    Brightin Star 50mm f/0.95, Pergear 35mm f/1.4, Thypoch Eureka

  • Telephoto

Compression and reach from sidelines, stages and across the room.

    Sigma 100–400mm, Lumix 28–200mm, 1.4× teleconverter

07About

Creative production informed by marketing strategy.

Rubin James combines photography and filmmaking with a background in marketing, brand strategy and digital production.

The usual question

“What should we photograph?”

The Rubix question

“What does your business need this content to accomplish?”

That means productions are designed around the places the work has to perform — websites, social, advertising, launch campaigns, brand libraries, sales material and ongoing content — and delivered in the formats each of those actually needs.

10Questions

Before you ask.

Do you shoot both photography and video?

Yes. Productions are planned so still and motion deliverables are captured intentionally on the same shoot, not as an afterthought.

Do you travel?

Yes. Rubix is based in Dallas–Fort Worth and travels for selected projects — the Coco Coworking production shown here was shot on location in Northeast Minneapolis.

Can you create vertical social content during a larger shoot?

Yes. Shoots can be planned to produce horizontal video, vertical video and stills together, so social content comes out of the same production.

Do you provide drone footage?

Aerial and FPV capture can be incorporated where conditions and regulations permit. Tell us the location and we will confirm what is possible.

Can you record interviews?

Yes. Interviews can be covered with multiple full-frame cameras, professional lighting, wireless or XLR microphones and multitrack 32-bit float recording.

Where in Dallas–Fort Worth do you shoot?

Anywhere in the Metroplex — Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Irving and Las Colinas, Arlington and beyond. Most shoots happen on location at your office, property or venue.

Do you work with agencies and in-house marketing teams?

Yes. Rubix can shoot to your team’s brief or content calendar and deliver in the formats and naming your team already uses.

Do you have pricing packages?

Projects are scoped around the production and the deliverables you actually need, so there are no fixed packages. Share the details in the form and you will get a scoped estimate.

Have something worth showing? Let’s shoot it properly.
